It offers isolated CAN, RS485 Fieldbus connections, and rich IO resources for extensive facilities and sensors input, for both digital and analog signals. It is perfectly satisfactory to the PLC and field automation applications. Since it contains on-chip Wi-Fi and BLE functions, and also includes a 4G LTE module Cellular, EdgeBox-ESP-100 can be utilized to establish an industrial gateway, enabling the original PLC to connect the network or cloud.
