HTC GD-03 0.0% 99.9 % RH GAS LEAK DETECTOR is based on Hot Wire Ionization (HWI) principle of sensing gases by means of an electrically heated filament which ionizes the gas molecules in contact with it into ions and electrons which are detected by a sensitive electronic ionization detector. The output signal from the sensor is an electric current (approx 250A) proportional to concentration of detected gas within range of 0 ppm to 10 % Volume (v/v) in air at room temperature (approx 25C). It can detect a variety of natural and man-made gases, including propane, methane, carbon monoxide, butane and more. The device relies on a chemical reaction between the gas and an internal substance to alert the user that gas is present.

The device is ideal for detecting low concentrations of combustible gases such as methane, propane, butane, and natural gas; toxic gases such as carbon monoxide; and corrosive gases such as hydrochloric acid. This handheld device is easy to use because its designed to detect the presence or concentration of gases quickly with a quick response time. Its display also shows users both the level of concentration and the type of gas detected.
