The MCP3428-E/SL is a 4-channel 16-bit Analogue-to-digital Converter (ADC) with IC interface and on-board reference. The onboard precision 2.048V reference voltage enables an input range of 2.048V differentially. The device uses a two-wire IC compatible serial interface and operates from a single power supply ranging from 2.7 to 5.5V. This device can output analog-to-digital conversion results at rates of 240 (12-bit mode) samples per second depending on the user-controllable configuration bit settings using the two-wire IC serial interface. During each conversion, the device calibrates offset and gain errors automatically. This provides accurate conversion results from conversion to conversion over variations in temperature and power supply fluctuation.
